Spotty and dotty over at We Do Doobadoo

Oh my, oh my ..... didn't realise that it had been quite so long since I last blogged. Unfortunately life got in the way and has made things a little hectic over the last few months. The other downside was that I completely lost my mojo and there were more projects in the recycle bin, than on my table. Things are now looking brighter especially as the summer holidays have arrived. I have to say that breaking up is great but I'm not bothered either way but this term, I desperately needed the end of term!

Before I share my Dobadoo project, I'd like to publicly thank my teamies for being so patient and understanding during my "absence" .... a big mwah to you all x

The theme this fortnight over on We Do Dobadoo is "spotty and dotty" and I have taken the theme slightly laterally by adding spots/dots to my project using Maimeri Glassy Gel medium. Have to say it was a complete pain to photograph .... lol

I have cut my card base using the largest die from Spellbinders Romantic Rectangle two. The larger panel has been embossed with the bricks stencil using my Grand Calibar and then colour tints added using my pan pastels. I then randomly stamped with a rose briar stamp (company unknown) and again coloured the images with my pan pastel. Finally, I have covered the panel with "dots" using Maimeri Glassy Gel medium.

On the inner panel, I stamped the same image, coloured as before and then added the "dots" using the Maimeri Glassy Gel medium. I finished 2 of the edges of the panel by using the Doobadoo laser art flourish corners which add that delicate "extra". I secured this panel to the larger one with 3D gel.
The photo above (hopefully) shows my "dots" added with the medium. They look great in real life as they add texture without blurring any colour from behind.

I threaded 3 Doobadoo laser art buttons on to bakers twine and wrapped this around my complete card securing with a bow. I then stamped my sentiment off setting it on the smaller panel. Finally I added some Doobadoo laser art butterflies.

Here are the products I used to make my card .....

 Card/Paper laser Art A5 - Buttons  Card/Paper laser Art A5 - Flourish Corners  http://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/index.php?cPath=833

Mask/Stencil Art A5 - Faded Dots

REMEMBER you have up until Friday of this week to enter and I know, my DT project is a tad late! Right better dash as have several other DT projects to post ...... eeek,

Lou
