Cheating to create a "mock" wooden frame ...

Having to "do nothing" this week has been a real struggle for me so had to find something do before my brain went to mush. One thing was a spot of "people watching" and love how the warm weather brings out the most bizarre clothing choices. I also caught up with a bit of reading and a bit of quick crafting.

Here's the result ...

I have one of the "weathered wood" papers from Polka Doodles and mounted it on a card base (cut using a Tonic die). With the left over piece of paper, I created a frame, (hand cut) trying hard to line it up with the first layer.

All the other elements are from Polka Doodles Rose Budd CD and these were left over bits from a future project and don't like to see anything go to waste. I thoroughly enjoyed cutting all the flowers and leaves as they are easy shapes to cut around quickly.

Quite a simple card with a soft colour palate and which was very quick to make. The only other things I added were a few gems and a brad.

Right off to fill the hot water bottle again and another spot of stretching out on the bed.

Have a great weekend everyone,

Lou
