Remember the Moment ... large, mixed media tag

Oh my am I glad to be back playing with the rest of the team over at Love to Create challenges. Need to say a huge thank you to my teamies for their continued support and patience. Well on to my project ...

I decided to alter a huge cardboard tag with mediums, pan pastels and of course, Soup Stamps ...! I began by using a stencil and iridescent paste to create the background,

Next, it was colour the tag with my pan pastels and I wanted to go quite vibrant so chose magenta, yellow ochre and violet.

When the colour was "down", I used my colourless blender to blend them seemlessly together and then added a layer of white coarse pearl medium ... instant shimmer and shine.

As a finishing touch, I covered the whole tag with perfect medium and ultra thick embossing powder. Now on to the stamps .... have you seen the new Soup Stamps from Polka Doodles ... oh my, they are so versatile. I have used the Lemonade Fizz set on this project. I stamped a selection of images with perfect medium and coloured them with my pan pastels: magenta, yellow ochre, green shade and bright yellow green shade.

I cut all the images out, covered them with perfect medium and ultra thick embossing powder which added sheen. Whilst they were still 'warm', I molded the petals to give a more ruffled look.

As an highlight, I decided to use my favourite brick stencil from Doobadoo with white acrylic paint ...

Now to add the flowers, leaves and sentiments ...

The sentiment stamps are from DaliArt Butterfly Swirl set and were just so perfect for this project ...

Now all I need to do is brush up on my photography skills again as so out of practice. Trust me the tag looks more textural and vibrant in real life.

Right, off to get a shower, spruce myself up and out for lunch with the family. Have a wonderful Easter Sunday whatever you choose to do,

Lou
