Matching card and notebook

Well there is a saga attached to my projects with the beautiful Belle Papillon and Bella Fleur collections as I had sent Nikky quite a few items, both completed and prepped for demo. However ... the PO decided not to deliver said items for reasons I am still struggling to understand ... ! If I dwell on the subject, my anger will again explode so on to the post ...

A new challenge over at Polka Doodle Challenges and we're celebrating anything and everything NEW, so that gave me the brilliant excuse to play with my new Polkadoodles goodies ... Bella Fleur and Belle Papillion craft collections to create a note book and matching card ...

Using the same papers for both projects however for the card, I have lightened the paper first using white pearl pan pastel, leaving the paper for the notebook "au naturel" ... as it were! I stamped over both papers with the script stamp and embossed with clear detail embossing powder. Next using the copper metallic pan pastel, I highlighted the embossing. I also stamped out some of the other images - butterflies and flowers on to vellum, embossing and highlighting with the copper pan pastel.

Next I cut a frame using the Elegant Nest dies with another paper from the Bella Papillion pack and added clear embossing powder randomly around the edges, again highlighting with copper pan pastel. I placed the die cut panel in to the centre of my card and began embellishing.

I added some extra stamped and die cut flowers flowers to the front, finishing with smaller butterflies. As a final final finishing touch, I added some co-ordinating Nuvo drops.

.

For my note book, I cut an oval panel using the Bubbleicious Frames die set, colouring as per my card and embellished with butterflies. However the butterflies were stamped on to acetate and embossed first.

The smaller strip behind the panel, is the left over paper which was just to precious to throw away.

I made the set for a work colleagues up and coming birthday and just now need to find an alphabet that I think suits the notebook, to add to the centre.

We're having a "chilled" weekend here and just mooching around doing a bit of what we fancy because next weekend is b .. u .. s.. y ! Have a great weekend doing what ever you fancy too,

Lou
