Travel & Adventure ...

There is a new stamp launch from Tonic Studios on Hochanda on Saturday 10th June and is part of the One Day Deal (ODD) and the stamps featured will be 2 new alphabets and a set of frames. Don't forget to check out all of Paula's shows.

Here is one of my projects featured on the show ...

I decided to use both alphabet sets on my card to create a travel themed project ...

I began by creating my background with the Block Capital Stamps, stamping with Nuvo Hybrid clear ink and embossing with gold powder. I created a selection of words - PARIS, ROME, MILAN, NEW YORK & PARIS - the words were randomly placed over the backing card. I added colour using Rustic Oak and Soft Rose Aqua Flow pens

Next I stamped BON VOYAGE using the Cursive Capitals stamps and cut each letter out, mounting them on to kraft card. The 'BON' was placed inside one of the frames. I then created a central strip colouring with the same Aqua Flow pens and added a selection of the travel dies from the Landmarks Collection.

On a piece of vellum (with the Cursive Capitals), I stamped ' TRAVEL & ADVENTURE' in brown and embossed with clear powder. As an added extra, I emboss from the back to give a white shadow.

The 'VOYAGE' was then placed at the bottom in a 'hickledy pickledy' fashion and a selection of buttons added to match the theme. I also stamped and coloured a watch and heart (from Initial Frame stamps) and added these to the opposite corner.

It was great fun playing with the stamps but I'm even more impressed with myself that I only used two colours!

I will be sharing my other projects over the week and also my shaker cards which I totally forgot to blog ... whoops!
