GDT for Digi Chooseday (again)
The ladies over at Digi Chooseday are complete and utterly mad as they have asked me to join in again with their new challenge "Christmas in July" and I have cased a former card I made for a Create and Craft show from eons ago.
I fell in love with the house image on the Picknix, Gingerbread Twist Collection (drawn by lovely, crafty Dee Paramour) when it was first released and it was my "go to" to create my project. For the said Create and Craft show I made a triple easel card .... yep, a TRIPLE easel card! I even surprised myself and used glitter .... me and glitter are not a match made in heaven but needs must ....
This is such a quick card to make as the I used the pre-coloured images. Printed them out several times so that I could layer them for added dimension. A little glitter (yuk) and red liquid pearls and the toppers were made.
Side view, so that you can see how the toppers are stepped back on each other. The steps were made with layers of torn paper, heart images and big blue buttons .... and the dreaded glitter!
These 2 photos show the toppers in more details and also the wonderful sentiment which comes from the "Here comes Christmas" CD (also from Polka Doodles).
Still not loving making Christmas cards when the sun is shining but needs must I suppose. Busy day for me as rehearsing like mad for the class production and I have several props to make along with the back drop.
Have a wonderful day everyone,
Lou
