Typing a note to say ... "Miss You" ...

I was a very lucky person and had two of my cards featured in Craft Stamper Magazine (February 2017 issue) which came out on 6th January 2017. I was asked by Nikky Hall of Polkadoodles to create the projects using 3 of her clear stamps sets: ' Oceania ', ' Wish You Were Here ' and ' Absolute Vintage '. If you haven't got the magazine here is a little peek showing my cards ... I have already shared one of my projects, 'Just Shooting the Breeze' HERE and am here is my second project ... Using the mini postcards from the  ' Wish You Were Here ' stamp set and masks, I created my background using pumice stone and picked raspberry distress inks. I then over stamped with one of the butterfly images, (from ' Absolute Vintage ') in picked raspberry.   I created another background using the same techniques to act as my mat and layer for the main focal piece ... the typewriter. I have stamped this twice so that I could

To my wonderful Wife ...

There's a new monthly challenge beginning over on the Win & Tonic Challenge blog and you can choose from four different themes ... all themes very achievable and ... there is a wonderful prize too! I have gone for the following themes: Colour = kraft plus anything Products = any (I used a wide range of Tonic Studio products) Theme = happy anything So here's what I came up with for this months challenge ... I began by stamping out my images and embossing with Nuvo white embossing powder. All the images were then coloured with Nuvo Aquaflow pens and I carried on colour to create the background too. Using the Affections base Heart Vines dies, I only cut away the outer edges and then added the painted topper to the card front, cutting away one edge, (on the card base), to keep the heart shape. I also used the same dies to decorate the inside of my card. I also stamped around the edges, embossed and water coloured the images. I thoroughly enjoyed

A cheeky, mischievous Leprechaun ...

I have used Mischievous Leprechaun from Fabricka Fantasy for this weeks project for Colour Crazy Challenges and I have coloured him with my Lyra Rembrandt pencils. Apologies for the rather washed out photos but I am struggling to get my camera to take a decent shot ...! Okay, I admit there maybe a little operator error too but when you set it up for auto mode, well, the photo should be better ... lol I found a copywrite free image of the hat (from a St Patrick's site), enlarged this to create my card base and then cut a shadow in black card. I have decorated the inside too but sadly forgot to photograph that!   The Leprechaun has been coloured with my Lyra Rembrandt pencils and in real life, looks a 100 times more vibrant and the hair has oodles more shades of red and orange. Oh well, never mind and as this Irish drinking toast proves, worse things could happen ... As you slide down the banisters of life, may the splinters never point the wrong way. Now who out o
