Launch of Tonic Studios magazine #5

The long awaited new magazine from Tonic Studios is being launched today on Hochanda and as part of the package, there is an exclusive die offered over and above the contents of the magazine. The magazine itself is rammed full of crafting goodness: stamps, papers & toppers and of course a wonderful floral themed die. If you peek below, you can see some of the projects I made for the magazine ...

Creating a picture frame using Nuvo Glimmer Paste

Well what a giddy time I have had recently with all the wonderful new Nuvo products that have been launched as part of Tonic Studios 1st Anniversary party over on Hochanda: so many ideas that I've had to write them all down before I forget. One of the projects I made for the launch was a picture frame using using stampbord, Nuvo Diamond Hybrid inks and the new colours launched for the glimmer paste ... I began by covering all the different sized stampbord pieces with either Dried Oregano, Spring Heather or Panama Rose - Nuvo Diamond Hybrid ink pads. Next using 3 different Tonic Studio stencils, I added the glimmer paste being somewhat colour co-ordinated eg: Dried Oregano tiles had Seaweed Quartz glimmer paste, Spring Heather with Plum Spinel glimmer paste and Rich Rosewood, Raspberry Rhodolite glimmer paste. I've used a selection of different Tonic Studios essential stencils to create the designs.

Have a magical birthday with Nuvo Shimmer Powders

Well spring is definitely taking it's time to arrive as we have another grey wet day here but I'm hoping the old adage 'April showers bring May flowers' might herald the blue skies and sun to arrive with us all sooner, rather than later. Over on Hochanda, Tonic Studios 1st Anniversary event is in full swing and Paula Pascal has been demoing the wonderful new Nuvo Shimmer Powders and boy oh boy, they are jam packed full of colour. For my next project, I used the shimmer powders with the Modern Buttonhole stamps - from Bunched Bouquet collection.

Wonderfall Waterfall Madness! New Tonic Studio dies with 'Wonderfall' kinetic movement ...

Now I have to be honest and say, I do not normally make waterfall cards to send to people - do make them with the children at school as they adore the movement - but I had real fun using/playing with the new Wonderfall Waterfall dies. Ideas over flowed and I have used them in different ways to show their versatility, (watch this space/blog), but my first project is using the dies as they were designed for ... with a wee twist 😉

Inspire - mixed media tag with Nuvo Shimer Powders and Mica Mists

Oh my ... where to begin with all the wonderful crafty goodness being launched by Tonic Studios on Hochanda to celebrate their 1st Anniversary. Choosing a favourite product is nigh on impossible and I have had immense fun playing with 'everything'. However it was great fun to have some messy play too and was pleased as punch to be asked to create some projects for the launch of the new Nuvo Shimmer Powders and Mica Mists. Here's one of my projects and I have used both products to create a mixed media feel tag ...

No.1 First Class Father - Nuvo Diamond Hybris ink pads

When creating with the NEW Nuvo Diamond Hybrid ink pads, I rediscovered my 'stamping lurve' for the Jetsetter's Passport stamp sets and had completely forgotten how versatile they were, plus how many stamps you get in each collection - oodles and oodles! I enjoyed making this background so much, I have stamped myself several the same and 2 others in slightly different colour ways ... well Father's Day will be with us sooner than we realise. I'd like to share with everyone the card I made for the launch show ...

Upcycled glass coffee jar using Henna Flourish stamps, Nuvo embossing powders & the NEW nuvo crystal drops

Sadly my blog has been neglected of late but that's because I have been a busy bee helping to make samples for Tonic Studio's 1st Anniversary at Hochanda ... boy oh boy are you all in for a treat! Anyways before I share the aforementioned projects, I was asked by a fellow crafter, (Karen), to explain how I made my upcycled coffee jar in to a decorative light. The project came about as I wanted to showcase the new Nuvo drops on a diverse media - glass in this instance - and their perfect partner for this project, Henna Flourish stamps from the Delicate Detail collection. They work seamlessly together don't you think?

Happy Birthday Matey using the new Nuvo Diamond Hybrid ink pads

I had great fun playing with the new Nuvo Diamond Hybrid ink pads which were launched on Thursday on Hochanda for Tonic Studios 1st Anniversary on the channel. The colours work together beautifully and for one of my projects, I created a matching birthday card and envelope. Using the Sweet Nothings envelope die set, I created both the envelope and card decorating both with the Dressables Extras stamp set and of course, using the new inks.
