The music of love ...

It's another new challenge over on the " Win & Tonic " blog and this months prize is the fabulous Essential Lace Dies. There are 4 different themes to choose from and you can do all of them on your project or alternatively, just one. I've gone for three out of the four ... Colour - neutrals ie creams, taupes etc Product - any Nuvo product   Theme - open theme so any occasion I previously made a card using the guitar and music notes (see HERE ) and knew I wanted to use the same items again for this months challenge card. Here's what I came up with ... I began by creating my background using one of the Indulgence Thins strip dies (Summer Wedding)  to make a panel and I have softly coloured it with Nuvo Aqua Flow pens (soft rose and rustic oak. Next came layering all the different die cut and stamped elements. I stamped the delicate detail stamps with rustic oak Aqua Flow pen and whilst wet, added some clear embossing powder. Seaside Drawers ... using a Cake Slice Box ...

A long while ago ... well it seems eons ago ... the cake slice box was one of the first dies launched on Hochanda following Tonic Studios move ...  and one of my samples was a little set of drawers ... see below ... ... well, following on from this idea, I thought I might have a go at making the boxes in to a tower/column of drawers but as the idea progressed, the project grew and finally morphed in to this ... Above shows the drawers on the left hand side and each has been a different type of opening but unified by using the label plaques. The MDF sea embellies are from Polkadoodles and can be found H

Hey Boy ... just be YOU!

Morning everyone and it looks as if we could be a great weekend weather wise but not "counting my chickens" (as it were) as we all know how quickly things can change 😏 Just need it to stay dry as hubster and I wish to finish the last bit of fencing for one particular part of the garden. I'm not sure which is worse: painting fence panels or painting a ceiling. Tough call ... Anyhow on to crafty things ... here is one of my cards from Dawny's show on Hochanda sharing Henri from Marmalade's World along with many accessories from the same collection ... I stamped Henri on to a circular mat and coloured him with my Nuvo Creative pens, layering him on to more circular mats. Using the accessory stamps, I created my background papers, cut them in to banners and layered them behind Henri. I added another banner with the sentiment (from Technique Tuesday) and a little tash. Using some more of the accessory stamps and matching dies, I created my embellishme
