BOO ... it's Halloween !

Another late to the party moment as this is my DT card for The Pencil Case using one of the great Melonheadz images coloured with my Lyra Rembrandt Polychromo pencils ... which was due two weeks ago ... whoops! I can take photos on my phone and surf the net but combining the two, just doesn't work for me and to be honest, don't want to learn how to either. The papers are all from the new Polka Doodles Halloween downloads and loving the skulls one as they can be used all year round ... I see pirates! Colours used ... Face: white, pink geranium and venetian red Monster: apple green, moss green, night green, black, lemon and dark carmine Extra highlights with white gel pen Have you joined in with the "pencil revolution" yet? If not, check out the following pages: The Pencil Case blog - http://thepencilcases.blogspot.co.uk/ The Pencil Case FaceBook page - http://thepencilcases.blogspot.co.uk/ Rushing here as need to add my card before Halloween is

Dusted off the Craft Robo ... only had it for SIX YEARS!

Well life has a way of being a little bit of a pain at the moment especially with respect to the internet. Let's just say that we have had loads of problems and in order to sort things out, have refrained from using our router to gain access to the internet. We are now the proud owners of a shiny new, working, un-hacked router! Whilst I know loads of you out there use your phones for everything, I'm afraid I am not one of them tech savvy people and find surfing the net and blogging, just too damn hard on my phone. A definite eye rolling moment for my youngest son ... With no internet I have had a wonderful time just making and making and making. I have managed to tick off loads of things from my "to do" list and one major one was to dust off the Craft Robo and finally me master it, rather than it master me! I know there are new machines out there but with the little use this machine has had over the last six years, I really can't justify buying an upto da

Believe in Christmas ...

I have notebooks everywhere for different things as am a bit of a notebook nerd ... love a good notebook ... however I am also a memory stick junkie too! I though I had better go through them just to check what I had on them and try and find a way to sort through all the files, photos, crafting stuff etc and came across a set of photos for several Tonic Studio projects I had made for the Exquisite Stamp launch. Here's one of the cards I made ... I have used the Elegance stamp from the Tonic Studios Exquisite range, coloured with Nuvo Creative pens and embellished with Nuvo Crystal drops and glitter. Skin: 473, 475 and 449 Dress: 379, 381 and 489 I used one of the garden header dies to create my floral border, colouring them to look similar to poinsettias. Leave & vines: 415 and 417 Flowers: 379 and 381 I adore the "believe" sentiment from the "Believe/Love topper"die set and thought it suited this image brilliantly. It has been layer

Case made ... just needs packing!

I decided to alter a paper mache case for my DT project at Love to Create Challenges and surprised myself as to how the idea in my head, slowly appeared in front of me. This is what it looked like to begin with ... and after "faffing", this is what it looks like now ... I began by carefully pulling off the luggage straps and handle as I didn't think they looked that good ... plus wasn't sure how I would decorate them! I created my own straps, fastening and handle which suited the case a little better (I believe). Using some House of Zandra papers, I have covered the case and over stamped the papers with the butterfly stamp from PAB using versamark. With the fine white pearlescent pan pastel, I dusted these images. All the edges were aged using raw umber and bronze metallic pan pastel. Whilst raiding my sticker drawer, I came across a selection of 7 Gypsies stickers which were just perfect for this project. They have been added everywhere but fir

One of the things I am very late for is my DT project for The Pencil Case . For this challenge we are sponsored by Star Stampz and I have used "Wicked Elphaba and Glinda" image ...
