No.1 First Class Father - Nuvo Diamond Hybris ink pads
When creating with the NEW Nuvo Diamond Hybrid ink pads, I rediscovered my 'stamping lurve' for the Jetsetter's Passport stamp sets and had completely forgotten how versatile they were, plus how many stamps you get in each collection - oodles and oodles! I enjoyed making this background so much, I have stamped myself several the same and 2 others in slightly different colour ways ... well Father's Day will be with us sooner than we realise.
I'd like to share with everyone the card I made for the launch show ...
I began by stamping the stamp design with Dried Oregano, overlapping the image. Next using the circular world design with Rich Rosewood followed by the shaped ticket in Laguna Bay.
Once I had finished adding the different element, I wanted to add some further images but wanted them to be more in the background, so I choose to use Metro Grey hybrid ink - as first and second generation stamping.
Next came the focal part. I already knew that I want the 'First Class' image to be part of this and the 'Father' sentiment but when I placed them on the card, to me, they appeared lonely. This is were the faff part comes in for me and rather than walking away, I seem to add more to my projects ...
One heart, a compass, additional wording & coloured band later, my faffing was now complete - or so I thought! In fact a few smaller hearts and decorated sequins later, I was finished.
As I said previously, I have quite a few of these backgrounds prepped ready to use on several projects and all are not cards! I hope you managed to catch the shows with Paula, as there was an inspiration overload, with many ways to use these unique hybrid ink pads. Do check out the other DT's blogs and Tonic Studios Facebook pages.
Better finish now as I'm being nagged back my pooch to go for a ramble in the fields. Many thanks for popping over,
Lou
