Gosh, I'm a numpty!!!

Well the senior moments are coming thick and fast at the moment, hence my post title ! Life is still a bit of a struggle at the moment and to make things worse, I decided to catch up with everything only to mess it all up ! Oh well . . . too late to cry about it now I suppose.

The first thing wrong was my card for this weeks Inspirational Card Sketches. Other than my post didn't show, I also made a using a sketch from over 3 weeks ago . . . I know . . . I keep asking myself "HOW?" The card is for a work colleague whose birthday is during the school Easter holidays . . .

So without further ado, I rustled up another card which is definitely more suitable for this weeks challenge . . .

All elements: "Back to Nature" CD from PolkaDoodles

Also before I muck this up or post it to some where weird, here is my card for this weeks "Fab 'n' Funky" challenge which is called "Spring is in the Air". This is very girly (for me) and is already in the post to someone whose birthday is on Friday, so fingers crossed they will receive it in time.

Papers: Funky Fairy "Dots are Distressing"
Stamps: "Garden Whimsey" by SU
Ribbon from stash

Now I am going to enter my cards into the following other challenges:

Papertake Weekly - open challenge this week

Well gotta dash as have absolutely oodles and oodles to do before the end of term and then it is some much needed me time before I really go mad.

Take care,

"It's all in the technique"

This was a fab challenge theme over at "Fab 'n' Funky" challenges. The idea of the theme is that we all celebrate &/or share our favourite technique . . . our un-sung hero or heroine. I have chosen "paper piecing". I adore this technique as you can quickly change a stamped image or add decoration.

Papers: MME
Stamps: Swirl wheel and sentiment from Stampin Up!
FLower stamps - Doodles for Daniel
Pearl buttons, gems & ribbon from stash

The flowers on this card have been stamped onto MME papers, cut out and layered up. Quick, simple and I think quite effective.

Papers: DCWV Spring stack
Stamps: Doodle for Daniel
Sentiment: Making Memories

The "flowers in pots" were stamped onto the white card and then stamped again onto DCWV paper (same as background). The flower and pot were cut out and placed over the original stamped image. Yet another quick card.

I am also entering the following challenges:

Little Red Wagon (1st card) - photo inspiration
Ooh la la creations - use a button, bow & some bling. My 1st card definitely qualifies as the large flowers have pearl buttons in their centres and the smaller flowers have gems as their centres.

Am now off to catch up on all my neglected emails and blogging buddies but will be watching the football at the same time . . . come on Spurs!

"It's all new" . . .

. . . is the theme over at "Fab 'n' Funky" Challenges and I have used my brand new digi image from Di's Digi Designs - isn't it adorable and the card was made for a certain person because of a certain event . . . enough said as I am not sure if they have received the card yet ! ! !

Other bits (!) from my stash

I have used my Promarkers and chalks to colour the image and loaded loads of embellies around the sides! The giant paper clips were in a stationary set @Tesco's which just happened to be on sale, so had to grab me some of those! Sorry for the "pooh" photo but have still not got my new camera yet . . . have to save just a little longer.

I am also entering my card into the following challenges:

2S4U - I have followed the great sketch this week to help inspire me.
Pile It On - to use pastel colours

Happy Wednesday everybody and look 2 more days until the weekend!

Phew . . .

. . . have made it back to blogger land after a long absence . . . well it was for me and feel a little refreshed. Many thanks for all the emails and messages I have received, they have definitely brightened the last few weeks for me.

Now onto happier things . . I have even managed to play along with Inspirational Card Sketches this week and many thanks to Dawn for your understanding. I actually struggled this week, not with the sketch but with my card ! I made the basics and roughly assembled it but it still didn't look quite right . . . . come on, you crafters know what I mean . . . so after much fiddling & faffing, I gave up and decided to call it a day with this card and it will have to stay as it is ! I made the card for my Step-mum for Mother's Day.

Papers: MME

Sentiment: SU
Ribbon & lace from stash

I have coloured Tilda with water colour pencils and used my blender pen instead of water. I think it came out really well and will definitely be getting my pencils out again.

I am also entering my card it the following challenges:

Stamp Something - a colour combo of "green & cream" plus small amounts of other colours.
Secret Crafters - theme of "anything goes" !
My Time to Craft - whose theme this week is "lovely lace"

Happy Tuesday!

ICS card on time this week ! ! !

Yep, got 5 minutes this weekend to make my ICS card using Dawn's fab sketch and it was just the inspiration I needed to make a card for a work colleagues birthday this week . . .

Papers: MME
Chipboard: Basic Grey Wassil
Sentiment: SU stamps

I took out all my stress on the edges and had great fun distressing them with my large scissors! Loads of inking, a little doodling & some ribbon complete this quick card. I am also entering my card into the following challenges:

Simon Says Challenge - the theme this week is "vintage with flowers"
Stampacular Sunday Challenge - the theme is "the good old days"

Happy Tuesday everyone,
