Gift card holder

Happy Friday everyone! First week back at school and am completely frightened by how quickly the week has flown by. The children have come back excited but really got in to the swing of things very quickly. I t has been great hearing all about their holiday adventures and in some cases their mishaps.

My last post I shared with you all the card I made for my Dad's 70th birthday. Well this time I want to share with the wallet I have made to house all his vouchers credit card things. All made using stamps, embossing folders & powders and card ...

I stamped the kraft card with the Studio 12 Shabby Checkers stamp, embossed with a Happy Birthday folder, restamped with shabby circles from the Studio 12 Distressed Zig & Zag set and finally (phew) covered it all in versamark, embossing with clear powder. I was trying to achieve a leather or leather effect look to the outside of my wallet.

For the inside I have used a vintage dotty paper from the Studio 12 Picknix Vol 1 CD and layered it to look like the inside of a wallet, finishing it off with faux stamped stitching.

On the outside I have added a leather strap which is held in place with some 7 Gypsies metal numbers. Pop over to the Polka Doodles shop (HERE) to check out the entire Studio 12 range of stamps and believe me, you'll want them all ...!

It took a while to make but I enjoyed the whole process .... however .... then had complete and utter stage fright and started to panic that Dad wouldn't like it. Dad never criticises anything I make but always praises but this still didn't stop me feeling very nervous ....

Well I am "cream crackered" and off to watch something mind numbingly boring on the TV tonight with my feet up. Have a great weekend everyone,

Lou
