Dutch Doobadoo meets Twisted Tuesday!

I was a very lucky person and have been sent a lot of wonderful products to play with from Dutch Doobadoo and am so in love with them, that it's my new "crush". They are going to be sold by Your Creativity Store and if you haven't seen them before, you need to go and investigate.

The theme this week at Twisted Tuesday Challenges to make "anything but a card" with the added twist of adding chipboard to your project. I haven't used traditional chipboard on my project but delish softboard elements that are very similar to chipboard.

For my project I have used the back piece of a frame .... the bit that holds your picture/photo in place and also becomes the stand (gosh, I hope that makes sense). Luckily I took a photo to show everyone what I meant if my explanation fell a little short!

I have used papers from Kaiser Craft which I have layered and cut in to, creating my background. I added the softboard (chipboard) honeycomb to the side coloured with distress inks and metallic gold pan pastels. Lovely soft, shimmery effect which isn't that clear in the photo but in real life, looks wonderful.

The butterfly stamp is from a new range of stamps by Nikky Hall for Your Creativity Store and are being released this weekend ..... watch this space. I have added a Dutch Doobadoo card butterfly to the centre for added depth. Some ribbon roses and a huge paper flower added to the corner to add texture.

Again, the postcard is another of the stamp "new releases" which I stamped on to Kaiser Craft paper, edged with metallic gold pan pastel and finally added a heart held in place with a 7 Gypsies embellishment. I have added some tiny little butterflies in different places to add movement to my picture.

... yep, you guessed it, the sentiment is also part of the stamps to be released this weekend and adore this motivational saying. Again stamped on to Kaiser Craft paper, mounted on to cream card which has been coloured with distress inks and metallic gold pan pastels, held in place with more 7 Gypsies embellishments. The ribbon and butterfly were added for dramatic effect (lol).

So here is my finished project which I really enjoyed making "from scratch" and was pleased how my recycling turned out too. Many thanks for taking the time to read right to the end of this ubber long post too,

Lou
