Using Premium Craft brands stencils.

Edited to add: I have had problems with uploading photos and blogger in general and would like to apologise to the Pan Pastel DT for the lateness of this post showing.

This is week 2 of "Use a stencil" for the Premium Craft Brands Pan Pastel Challenges and each of the DT have further inspiration using all the wonderful products.

I decided that I really needed to tidy up properly the other day and with it being half term, I really had no excuse. Whilst tidying I came across several paper pads that were gathering dust ... not complete pads but the pads where you had several papers left in them because they were not your favourite and you really didn't know what to do with them pads! The papers were too good to go to "crafting heaven" but in the same breath, you just couldn't see you using them on a project. So my mission was to start using these papers .... somehow ....

I struggle using green on my projects other than as an accent colour and in a Teresa Collins pad I found, there were several green papers left. That was my cue so I got our my stencils, acrylic paint and gel mediums. I lightly dry brushed white acrylic paint across the paper and when dry, I used the pink flower mask/stencil. I mixed metallic soft gold pan pastel with matt gel and covered the stencil repeating 3 times. I then used an off cut of the paper, with the same stencil, but used white acrylic paint in stead. Sadly or sillily forgot to photograph my papers before using them, to show you how they changed especially as they became much softer in design.

Again whilst tidying a cupboard, I came across a selection of stickers that I was obviously keeping (for what reason I do not know) and have used them on my card. I have highlighted all the stickers using the gold Glitter Shake GraphIt pen and am really pleased with the results. the flat stickers have suddenly gained their own personality. Added a border using Spellbinders Edgerability dies and some twine ribbon. Even the foam letters have been "aged" using acrylic paint, soft gold pan pastel and the Glitter Shake GraphIt pen.

Today is a painting day for me. First to help paint sets with my son for his school play and then to finish off the last bits on his room. Finally, I suppose I should get ready for going back to work tomorrow; gosh that week has flown past.

Have a great Sunday everyone and hope yours is a little more relaxed then mine!
