It's all "Work and Play" at Polka Doodles
Well Nikky has done it again and brought out a fantastic new series of designs called "Work and Play" (collection 1) which is packed to the rafters and is the first in a series of designs.
I should admit from the start (guiltily) that I haven't coloured with any alcohol markers for nearly 6 months (I know) as have been using distress inks, pan pastels or pencils recently but loved getting my Promarkers out and colouring up this image. Slightly miffed as for some bizarre reason Santa missed bringing me my GraphIt Markers this Christmas and I know, yes I definitely know, I was a good girl all year too ...
The hardest bit for me was getting in to the groove of the highlighting and getting to know my blender pen again. Thankfully my pens forgave me for my neglect.
I have used papers from the music section of the CD to create my backgrounds and embellished it further by cutting some stars out in complimentary colours. Added stars are from Doobadoo as they were just the right size to add that little extra. Finally I dusted off my brads (have far too many) and added some to my card. I even found ones with stars on too! The sentiment is also from the CD but the "son" wording was made using Thickers.
Phew, am I glad it's Friday as it been a rather long to say the least and I need the 2 days off. Have a great Friday everyone and don't forget that ....
Doobadoo UKs own challenge blog start tomorrow, Saturday 8th March .... "We Do Doobadoo" ... oh how very exciting,
Lou

I have been a lucky bunny and had the collection early (fist in the air moment screaming YES), and was drawn to the drummer image straight away. I think it was the hair that did it for me ... lol
