We Do Doobadoo the new UK Doobadoo Challenge blog
Yippee the day has finally arrived for the launch of the UK Doobadoo Challenge blog called
and I am very lucky indeed to be part of the team. This means I get to play with all the wonderful Doobadoo products ... bliss.
Our first challenge is called "Hearts Forever" and this gave me the perfect opportunity to use the "Locks and Keys" laser cuts on my card.
I have covered the lock and key in Versamark and then coloured with Bronze metallic pan pastel. I then covered them again in versamark and this time smoothered both with detail clear embossing powder. I wanted both the lock and key to look aged and pitted. I handcut a heart, tinting edges with Raw umber pan pastel, and punched a hole in the top corner. I have threaded the lock through the hole and stuck it in place. As an added touch, I cut the key hole part away and put the key through, securing it to the back of my heart.
I have used the Flower Swirls stencil on both my card base and matting card. Both have been tinted with Bronze, Light Gold and Raw Umber pan pastels. I finally added a decorative border, which is slightly larger than the card base, decorated with twine ribbon, lace offcut and a huge flower. A sprinking of hearts and Doobadoo lazer cut buttons as the finishing extra. The sentiment is from SU (I think).
Boring domestic weekend for me unfortunately but hope yours is a little more exciting,
Lou
