Easter wishes with Polka Doodles
The theme over at Polka Doodle challenges is "Springtime" and I decided to make an Easter card, full of spring flowers, for my M-i-L.
I have used the brilliant cross template on Paper Boutique III (which comes in 3 different sizes) and I have used the A5 size. You get the cross, ribbon and oodles of flowers in each template, to layer up to your hearts desire.
You can even make your card to be the shape of a cross by following the simple template. I have decided to put my cross on to an acetate front and put a further cross on the inside with the words "believe" running across the front of the cross (which you can just about see in the photo below). On the front I have used some inspirational words (rub-ons) as although I am giving this card to my M-i-L for Easter, it also allows her to keep it on display for as long as she wishes.
For added texture and layering, I have added a die cut cross (Tattered Lace) to the centre and heart shapes (SU punch). All the flowers have been layered up with 3d foam pads with extra little hearts tucked in amongst them.
Can't wait to see your Springtime project, so pop over to the Polka Doodles challenge blog and link up your project.
