Polka Doodles Work & Play CD 6 (part 1)
Nikky Hall over at Polka Doodles has developed this fantastic range of images called "Work and Play". What makes the CD, digi images and stamps so very versatile, is the fact that for each work role or play activity, you get a male and female version. You also get complimentary papers and sentiments to match too ...... a big thumbs up from me! I have been using images from the "Work & Play 6" collection ....... yep, there are another 5 collections before this one which you can find in the Polka Doodles shop HERE.
Today I am sharing my DT projects with the football images and have to say that my inspiration for this "no measure box card" (You Tube video HERE) was inspired by my teamie Claire Bolema.
All the images are included on the CD and I have cut them out, mounted on to acetate and then randomly placed them: they add a movement to the card as if the balls are flying through the air. The real labour of love was cutting out all the bits on the goal ...... one of those "wish I hadn't started moments" but am in the end, glad I did.

Close up of the front:
I adore the "Goal" sentiment and on each tab I have added a football themed ticket sentiment (included on the CD).
I am entering my pop box card in to the following challenges:
Crafting from the heart - anything goes
Ooh La La - fancy folds
Through the Purple Haze - anything goes
Come and get it challenges - anything goes with a sentiment
To add a little texture and to also break up the layers, I have cut out some faux grass, layering it up with 3D foam pads. The birthday sentiment is also from the same design sheet as is the "goal" sentiment.
The girl footballer comes pre-coloured which is fab for when you need to make a card really quickly and she also comes pre-matted too ...
Using my first football design, I then created the inside of my card (using Serif Craft Artist) and added one of the sentiments that can be found on the Work and Play 6 CD.
I am entering my girlie football themed card in to the following challenges:
Squigglefly - everything rounded
Whoopsie Daisy - girly
Come and get it challenges - anything goes with a sentiment
Fairytale Stamper - anything goes
Crafty Calendar - anything goes
Pumpkin Spice - children
Creative Corner - girly
Sister Act - anything goes
Crafts Galore Encore - anything goes
Crafty Girls Challenges - anything goes
Well my holiday in Ireland is now over and I had a great time visiting Mam, catching up with the relatives and obviously a glass or two of the black stuff.
Tomorrow I will share some moe Work and Play 6 cards, so please do pop back over to see them. Many thanks for visiting as I do appreciate your comments and do endeavour to return the favour and visit you in return.

For my girl football card, I have used one of the design sheets (found also on Work & Play 6 CD), cutting out all the images. I have used one of the football digi images, imported it into Serif Craft Artist, enlarged it to fit an A4 page and created my card base.
To add a little texture and to also break up the layers, I have cut out some faux grass, layering it up with 3D foam pads. The birthday sentiment is also from the same design sheet as is the "goal" sentiment.
