"CASE It" with Polka Doodles
Yippee it's Friday and I am having a weekend of birthday celebrating. I'm not a "mooch around the shop person" (unless it's a craft or art shop) but actually fancy doing just that this weekend. It might have something to do with the fact that I have birthday money to spend !
The new theme over at Polka Doodles Challenges is "CASE It". For people who have not heard this phrase before, it means to be inspired by another crafters card or project, to create your own version. However, please always remember to credit the original artist/creator. I decided to "CASE" Anna's card (found here) as I needed to make an anniversary card and the layout (sketch) of Anna's card was my starting point.
I have used the wonderful Picknix Collection and spoecifically the "In the Garden" section. The papers, images, frames and sentiments are just wonderful, however all different sections work beuatifully and seamlessly together. If you are an impatient person, the whole kit or the individual parts can be purchased from Polka Doodles as downloadable digi kits.
The delicate rose and blue flower images are hand cut and layered around the heart frame image. I have added additional embellishments: doodle dewdrops, ribbon and lace. Oh, must also add isn't that sentiment "just right": romantic but no too slushy.
Have a great Friday everyone and many thanks for visiting,
Lou
