Winged things

Happy Friday everyone and boy, oh boy am I going to treasure this weekend. SATs start on Monday and will be drained by next Friday evening, so going to relax, craft, relax and craft some more. Do feel for the children as this formalised testing can either make or break them. It can make them dread tests all their lives and let the piece of paper own them, rather than the other way round. Better jump off my soap box ...

This week over at Polka Doodle Challenges we are embracing "things with wings" and I have used the wonderful Eden Collection to create my card.

I have mounted one of journal cards on to a gorgeous soft backing paper. I printed the image several times in order to layer up different elements to create depth.

I also printed out some extra bits: flowers, sentiment, paper ribbon and leaves. These have been merged in to the journal card to give the illusion of fullness.

I do adore all the extras Nikky adds to her collections and also, rather strangely, love a good cutting out scissor session too.

Have a wonderful weekend and have ear marked Saturday to catch up with my blogging and inspiration fix.

Lou
