Christmas in ..... JUNE!

I know ... we haven't has summer yet and I'm talking about Christmas but I had to get in to the festive zone myself to make some samples for an up and coming Stampbord show on Create and Craft. I got all my Christmas stamps, inks, does and images out .... looked at them ... looked at them some more ... and yep, still looked at them. So I put them all away and just played with my pan pastels covering a few pieces of stampbord. Next thing, an idea sprang in to my head and I created this ...

I wanted to incorporate other crafting supplies in to my project hence the use of die cuts. I think sometimes we think we need to be all arty with Stampbord but that is not always the case. The die cuts have been coloured with light gold metallic pan pastel.

I have used the Winter Spruce stamp set from PAB, but only on one edge, and sequins as baubles. The smaller stampbord piece has a holly flourish image from the same stamp set. I have joined them together with a chain. Everything, stampbord and die cuts, have been embossed with ultra thick embossing powder.

Right, quick visit from me as need to pack as off on the school residential trip to Isle of Wight in the morning. I have my list of "needs" and an extra lists of "wants" to go through so better dash ...

Have a great Father's Day celebrating with your family,

Lou
