Whiling away the hours ...
Whilst doing as I was told and lying in bed stretching out the old gluteal muscle, I had to do something. I'm not a TV person per say ... do have favourite programmes that I have to watch and at this point must add, #Game of Thrones, NOOOOOOO, why Jon Snow? Must dig out my books again and re-read so I know what they might have in store for us next season and maybe make sense of some of this seasons twists/sub plots.
Anyhow, I digress (again) and whilst lying in bed, I decided to cut out lots of elements that I had printed from the Eden Collection from Polka Doodles. I wanted to use the wooden papers on a project and as the two compliment each other wonderfully, that was my starting point.
I distressed the wood paper to give a more weathered look and then began adding all my elements. I have used Dutch Doobadoo honey comb softboard to layer my flowers on to with some fern laser cuts.
I have perched the lickle bird on the end just under the bird cage. I have smothered him in fine glitter using my ShakeIt glitter pen.
Should also add that there is a flower/branch corner in the collection and this was my starting point to layer the flowers, leaves etc. I cut the corners out and layered them over the honeycomb softboard.
Whilst I enjoyed my crafty session in bed, hubby on the other hand was not too pleased. I thought I was being all clean and tidy but apparently not ...!
Have a wonderful day everyone and I'm off to surf blog land, soaking up all the craftiness out there.
