Tonic sample using the new Nuvo pens and stamps.
Here is another one of my sample cards using the new Nuvo Creative pens and stamps. For this card, I have gone quite "shabby chic" and mixed paper piecing with colouring.
I stamped the image from Exquisite Ladies stamp set on to craft card, embossed using white embossing powder and then cut the image out. Next, I stamped the image again but this time on to coloured paper, embossing as before. Cutting the dress only out (save the head!), shaping with my bone folder however I only glued it at the top, to create some "flow". I shaded the dress with 425 Nuvo Creative pen from the Rosy Pinks collection.
Next I stamped all the smaller images (from Prima) using 461 and 463pens from the Natural browns collection on to different Prima papers. For the smaller stamps, the images stamped without the ink drying but for the larger postcard, I did have to "huff and puff" on the stamp to reactivate the ink. If you try this for yourself, remember to clean your stamps straight away as the ink can stain your stamps. I coloured the images using 425 pen from the pink collection. Do you remember I asked you to "save the head" ... well can you spot it?
I die cut a doily background using the Celtic Dream die set and kept the excess thin circle (which is left) to add another layer. Next it was time to layer everything up .
Loved how my card turned out and will definitely make this again ... actually two thirds of another card is done!
Right, got to get into "domestic goddess" mode as going "naturalist" is not for me! Washing machine is in for a hard time today ...
