Bold and bright at The Pencil Case

It's the second challenge over at The Pencil Case and the theme is "bright" and for my project I decided to colour up a Saturated Canary image (form late 2012) and it was a freebie from Krista. I decided to keep my card layout simple so that the image became the focal point. I have used the yummy, buttery light fast pencils from Lyra: Lyra Rembrandt Polycolour Pencils.

I tried to also keep the colour simple and repetitive which I thought helped to create the bold and bright look I was trying to achieve. I've used up scraps of paper from American Crafts which as they were scraps, kept to the minimalistic feel ... well kind of ...

The colours I have used on my image are as follows:

Skin - white, ochre, gold ochre pale geranium
Hair - dark sepia, van dyck brown, black, white
Dress - Moss green, light orange, light blue, dark carmine, canary yellow
Boots - moss green, olive green, black
Balloon - light orange, white

Been a bit of a busy Saturday with a wee bit of decorating, retail therapy and taxi duties which was not part f my plans for the weekend. Oh well, more things to still do but not gonna fret, as they'll get done when they get done!
