Dusted off the Craft Robo ... only had it for SIX YEARS!

Well life has a way of being a little bit of a pain at the moment especially with respect to the internet. Let's just say that we have had loads of problems and in order to sort things out, have refrained from using our router to gain access to the internet. We are now the proud owners of a shiny new, working, un-hacked router! Whilst I know loads of you out there use your phones for everything, I'm afraid I am not one of them tech savvy people and find surfing the net and blogging, just too damn hard on my phone. A definite eye rolling moment for my youngest son ...

With no internet I have had a wonderful time just making and making and making. I have managed to tick off loads of things from my "to do" list and one major one was to dust off the Craft Robo and finally me master it, rather than it master me! I know there are new machines out there but with the little use this machine has had over the last six years, I really can't justify buying an upto date version ... would love to but do not want another item gathering dust in a box!

So here is my first Craft Robo project in eons ...

I made a camera gsd file using my own camera as the model as wanted to "play" and produce something with basic shapes ... walk before you can run scenario ...! I cut the images out in silver and black so I could create layers. All the layers were over stamped with a snowflake and embossed with white detail powder.

The flowers were cut using a "normal" die from Tim Holtz and layered up. They are layered on to a snowflake die (from Tonic) and finished with Nuvo Crystal Drops.

The Santa image in the centre of the camera is from Bo Bunny and I wanted to look as if Santa was the focus of the photo shoot. The "Believe" sentiment is also from Tonic.

So this is the silver camera but watch this space for the black camera .....

It might be because I have had a break from blogging but it has taken me ages to write this post and I don't know why ...? I'm having a "night in" and grabbing a humongous coffee and catching up with blogland as withdrawals have now well and truly kicked in!
