I made a "Top Hat" shaped photo frame as a gift and as they are a huge Alice in Wonderland fan ... or should I say a HUGE Johnny Depp fan ... so you can see the link (ish). It has been sent as a surprise and I am hoping that if Royal mail did it's job, it should be with them by the time this post goes live ...
I have used the Winnie in Wonderland collection to create the frame (obviously) and it began as a simple doodle, which I then turned in to a template. Now the playing card is a huge "player" (get the pun?) to my design but more of that later. Here are some close ups ...
I have cut lots of different embellishments out and matted them on to black card to make them "pop". I have also added some gems and metal embellishments as an added extra.
Okay back to the playing card. You see the opening was solely based around the playing card and it's position decided where the frame would be. So if we turn the top hat around, you will see what I mean ... fingers crossed ...
... a little hinge (from 7 Gypsies) cunningly keeps the playing card in place but when opened ...
... you can clearly see that this is where you would place your photo or picture.
Think that's everything and many thanks for making through all the photos and waffle - phew!
Busy weekend ahead as we have decided that we are going to decorate the sitting room but first we have to clear all the copious
Have a great weekend everyone,
