Autumn Colours for Christmas

I am so in love with the Festive Christmas soup kit and think I have used it on every Christmas card I have made so far. So versatile and allows you to get all inky and creative ... Here's my latest project for the PolkaDoodles Challenge "Anything Goes" ...

I have used the "O Christmas Tree" stamp set to create my background and the wonderful poinsettia.

There is the most cute script stamp that when continually used creates a detailed background. I've used distress inks and that helps create a vintage/shabby chic (sort of) background.

I stamped the poinsettia leaves and embossed with gold powder, colouring them also with distress inks. After cutting them out, I made my huge flower, finishing with a glass gem. I also coloured the lace to match the leaves and tie all the elements in.

I now need to find a way to make some quicker Christmas cards using these stamps but oh I do so struggle with CAS cards. Who knows .... one day ...

Hi Lou,
I just fell onto your blog & happened to see this gorgeous stunning design of yours. The colours & the layout is absolutely stunning. I agree with you that the distress inks really do give it that vintage look on the background. Its very effective & such an elegant design especially with the lace that you coloured.

I totally understand how you feel with struggling with CAS cards. I'm a more of a detail & bulk kinda girl but I think you have pulled this off beautifully. A wonderful job. Thank you for sharing it with us.
