21st birthday blooms ...
AUGUST .... where has half the year travelled to - blink a week goes by, blink twice and a month seems to disappear. I simply can't cope with this sudden disappearance of time and just not fair as my 'to do' list grows. At this rate to get tasks completed, I might have to resort to planning my time hourly ... although if I'm honest that does seem a little extreme ....
Today I thought I'd share a card made using the numbers from the Block Capitals stamp from Tonic Studios which was recently released on Hochanda.
I began by creating the background using the numbers plus white embossing powder - on to water colour card - and then washing the background with a mixture of Indigo Dawn ,Lilac Blossom & Soft Rose Aqua Flow pens. Once dry, I used Indigo Dawn directly on to the '2' and '1', stamping on to the background.
I die cut a heart from white card and also stamped '21' with the same colour. Next using the flower die from Whimsical Frames, I created my flowers adding stamen to the centre. The leaves are from Bunched Bouquet, stamped with Fresh Green Aqua Flow pen then cut out by hand.
Two small pennants were made from the left over background, mounted on to white card. Now all that that was left to do, layering all the parts on to my card/background.
All in all a quick card which also allowed me a bit of messy time ... and we all need a bit of messy crafting.
The boys are home for a short while so we are off visiting favourite haunts they used to love when younger but first the difficult task ... getting them out of their 'pits'!
Have a wonderful day and I don't say it enough, many thanks for popping over to visit,
Lou
