Mirror, mirror on the wall ...

Off subject ... but ... SUMMER HOLIDAYS ....... YIPPEE!

Several weeks ago I shared how I created the structure of my mirror frame as part of my DT piece for "Love 2 Create" using stampbord & pan pastels - see HERE - as you can now see from photo below, things have progressed ...


The frame was made for Nikky Hall (of Polkadoodles) using the wonderfully versatile NEW Regal Peacock soup stamp set, (for the first airing on Create & Craft). The stamps are brilliant because they encourage you to just "create" without the worry of composition or position ... simply stamp, have fun and make what inspires you.



I have stamped various images from the stamp set in black and then part coloured these with the same coloured pan pastels.


To add further texture, I stamped & embossed (in gold), using a selection of the stamps from the set.


Next, using the stampbord tools, I created highlights on some of the images to accent the delicacy of some of the designs ... and to also add another textural element.


I had a real blast getting messy and crating "from scratch" and had to play again with the stampbord, so watch this space ...

Happy Sunday everyone and I'm planning a PJ kind-of day ... and that includes walking the dog in them 😅😂😍
