Playing amongst the presents ...
I thought I'd share one of projects that I made for the recent Tonic Studios Festive Friend's launch on Hochanda using one of the cute cat images, placing him in one of the bauble blisters to create a shaker card.
I began by stamping the circle bauble and then cutting it our with the matching die. With the outer die only, I cut another panel on white stamping card. Carefully draw around the inner circle of your stamped bauble giving you now the correct placement for your stamping. Next stamp and colour the cat - I chose to work with my Brush Scripts. On a separate piece of card, stamp & colour the cat image which will be used to create a decoupage layer. The circle bauble was also coloured with Brush Scripts.
Before joining all the elements together, I added some sequins, placing them on top of the cat, then added the circle blister to form the shaker. Doesn't he look so cute hiding amongst the presents?
The leaves are created using the Delicate Detail Vine Flourish stamps, coloured with Brush Scripts and then cut out. They have been layered up to create the look of a full tree ... fingers crossed that they do. The lickle baubles are from the Rudolph Reindeer Buildables set and they were the 'left overs' from another project.
I do sooooo love the look of this card - which for me is nearly, not quite, verging on CAS styleeee - that I have several others prepped ready to make. I can't decide whether these should be 'hand out' cards or I should make boxes to put them in ... decision, decisions, decisions ...
How are your Christmas preparations going? I'm starting to worry about myself as I've now got several presents, half my cards made and starting to stoke pile the 'booze'! This level of festive organisation is simply not heard of from me ... lol.
