Love 2 Create Mixed Media Challenges - Mini album using mount board

Oh my, been a bit neglectful of my blog and crafty endeavours recently but am back to normal ... well as normal as I can be ... with another new "Anything Mixed media/Creative" challenge over at Love 2 Create Challenges and this time I've decided to make a mini album from scratch using mount board to create my structure.

The album has been designed to hold pages for photos or memorabilia, pockets to squirrel away special items and in the centre a notebook - which can be replaced once used ...! I have over stamped pages, added extra colour with inks and pan pastels plus several die cut frames.

All the papers, embellishments and stamps used are from Polkadoodles Belle Papillion collection. The papers are simply sublime and I struggled to want to cover them but did pull the 'old big knickers' up in the end.

This is a mini album but still quite substantial in size measuring 14cm (5 3/8") in width, 18cm (7") in height and 8cm (8 1/4") in depth. As you can see I have extra tabs and have made these in to a useful feature, which I will share with you on another post otherwise this would end up being ubber long and way too photo heavy.

As a finishing touch, I even used the left overs to create some note cards. Did say I tried to make this album, come notebook, come storage have multi uses to appeal to lots of different people. Will be back with another post shortly sharing some of the pages and inserts.

Right better get going as want to beat the crowds to the parking spaces, as today is the day I am finishing off the last bits of my Christmas shopping. Determined to be a wee bit more organised this year. How's your festive planning going?
