Colouring with Nuvo Crystal Drops - Just to say 'Enjoy' - TONIC THROWBACK THURSDAY POST
I have set myself the goal of endeavouring to share all my DT projects on my blog and with that in mind, thought that if I set up a regular weekly post, to publish on the same days, it would hopefully, (fingers crossed), help me achieve my goal. Next what to call the posts and after much uummmimg and aaaahhhhing, I was still no further forward. In comes youngest son, rolls his eyes, tuts and then says over his shoulder whilst leaving the room ...
"It's obvious mum: Tonic Throwback Tuesday or Tonic Throwback Thursday. It's simple alliteration!"
Well that's me told! However he does have a point and yep, it does work with my initial idea. Now as I have quite a few, (coughs), projects to share, I'm going to have a 'throwback' post on both Tuesday and Thursday. Who knows might have shared all my outstanding projects by the end of 2018 ... I did say might ...
Here's the first project ...
This project was created to introduce the new Nuvo Crystal drops which were launched for Tonic Studios 1st birthday on Hochanda - April 2018!
I began by stamping & embossing the beautiful 'Delicate Detail Henna Tag' on to craft card in clear, embossing with Nuvo embossing powder in Gold Enchantment. Next taking the crystal drops in Olive Branch, Moroccan Red, Plum Pudding & Double Denim, I coloured in the design using a paint brush.
I stamped the image again - as before - but this time cut away the outside flourishes to leave a centre panel with leaf design & smaller flowers. Next I stamped the sentiment, (Delicate Detail sentiment set), and added on top of the original image with 3D foam. To tie in all the colours from the card base plus layers, I have used a 'Will's Hand' die - enjoy. A piece of twine was added and tied at the back, then the sentiment.
A final finishing touch was to add some sequins and clear Nuvo Crystal Drops. I must admit, I do love the richness of colours on the card which I think is enhanced by using kraft card. Do you agree/disagree?
Thanks for popping over and do visit again on Tuesday as I share another 'older' Tonic Studios project.
