Creative Doodles Collection - Funky Alphabet & stencil

Polkadoodles recently launched a wonderful new collection called Creative Doodles on Hochanda. Within the collection is a fab A5 alphabet stamp set, called Funky Alphabet, with a matching/coordinating stencil - must quickly add that the stencil is a genius idea - that makes colouring the stamped images a complete and utter doddle.

Here is one of the samples I made for the show with the main focus being the alphabet and stencil

The whole card idea came about by playing around with the word 'beautiful' and splitting it up in to parts to create another way of saying the same word - Be💓YOU💓tiful . Gosh that sounds a wee bit confusing but hopefully the photos can better explain what I mean ... fingers crossed.

I began by stamping the YOU first to workout where I wanted the rest of the letters to be and whether I wanted to squash them up against each other. Next using the stencil, I coloured in each letter using my Izink dye ink pads.

Around the edge of the card, I used the Flower Doodles stencil to create a layered floral effect, with a few smaller flower images from Making Faces stamps, finishing with some eyes using the stamps from  Making Faces set. To tie in the Be💓YOU💓tiful word, I have also used several of the fabulous words from the Making Faces stamp set - boy oh boy do you have loads to chose from!

I've also made a quick video showing how the Funky Alphabet stamps and coordinating stencil work brilliantly together and it gives you an idea as to how I coloured my letters.

Thanks for popping by and hope you're having fun with your creating/projects this week,

Lou
