Tag book using the new Tonic Studios Enchanted Forest & Wonderous Woods tag die sets.

Tonic Studios have a new release today on Create and Craft which will create beautiful gift tags and wallets with the Enchanted Forest and Wondrous Woods Tag Die Sets PLUS decorate their surrounds with the Mythical Glade Layering Die Set!

I had great fun playing with them and the first I knew I had to make was .... a tag book!

I have used the 2nd largest die from the Mythical Glade Layering die set to create all my pages, plus the covers, and then started to decorate. I have kept the front quite plain and used the wallet & decorative dies from Enchanted Forest Silhouette Tag set to create a photo area and the sentiment is from the layering dies.

The sentiment has been layered on top of  stag decorative layer and placed at a 'jaunty angle'.

I added the deer and fawn to sit by the photo wallet and finished with Chalk White stone drops as my snow and snow balls. The stone drops add a wonderful textural element.

On the first inside page, I have created a simple photo mat layer with the Mythical Glade layering dies. Also using the round dies from the Wondrous Woods collection to add decoration in one corner.

For the second page, I first created a photo mat page/flap by folding a piece of kraft card in half and cutting out. This means the flap will open at the top. On the outer flap/page I then added a centre band to hold additional tags or photo mounts. Using the decorative stag die- from Enchanted Forest - I cut this in to a piece of kraft card, trimmed to size, adding a piece of vellum behind. This was secured by creating tabs top & bottom, which were hidden/stuck behind the backing paper.

Page 3 has a pocket created using half a page which holds multiple tags or even smaller tag books. On one of the tags, I have layered the pieces together securing with ribbon; this creates a simple, but effective, decoration.

I created several mini tag books by folding decorative papers in half, cutting out the tag shape carefully ensuring I did not travel over the crease line. These have been decorated using lots of different elements from each of the collections.

The final page decorated in my sample, has been kept simple with a central band ready to hold lots of tags or photo mounts.

The tag book was quite quick to make as instead of using a spine, I have used book rings, which means I can add loads more pages if I wanted to.

Now not to be too great an enabler but Scrapbook.com are having a sale event at the moment - 7 days of summer - and I believe that there is a 20% to 50% reduction on a multitude of Tonic products ... INCLUDING THESE DIES! It would be rude not to share this fact ...

Scrapbook.com 7 days of summer sale

Well better quickly wrap this post up as 1] it's late and 2] the dog is anxious to go for a walk.
