Quick water colour background using Queen of Hearts collage stamp from Polkadoodles Ltd ...

Morning everyone and firstly, Happy 1st August everyone. Simply cannot believe how this year has developed wings and flown by. Frightening quick or is it just an age thing? I can't decide. My youngest says it's definitely ME being  "weird" but then he does have the advantage of youth on his side.

I'm on the Polkadoodles blog today to share a quick but effective way to colour a stamp and the stamp set I am working with is "Queen of Hearts" DL Collage clear stamp set. Although I have chosen to use water colours, this technique would work with all your different inks eg: distress, oxide or alternatively, using your alcohol marker pens.

I have created a You Tube video sharing my step by step techniques to create this card and you watch it HERE ... or click on photo below.

Below are a selection of close up photos show casing different aspects of my finished card. You may notice that after I completed my card on the video, I have added a few "extras"; sequins and highlights using a white pen.

I'd love to see how you interpret this technique so please do share your projects by leaving a comment on this post or alternatively sharing in the Polkadoodles Facebook group - Polkadoodles Craft and Colouring Group.

Thank you for popping over and do you have a Polkadoodles product that you would like to see being used as a video tutorial? Let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Until next time,

Lou

Lou this is wonderful. Hubby showed me how to watch YouTube on telly whilst doing my ironing Think I'll be doing more!! Great instructions, easy to follow. Think I may give this ago but may need to pick up some pens at the show. Crafty Hugs. Sue X
