Wishing you all the happiness with Polkadoodles die collection

The weekend appears to have arrived at the same speed as a super sonic jet this week but I am more than happy to see it, although no major plans a foot in the Sims Household ... phew! Popping over quickly today to share a card I made using the new Polkadoodles floral dies which were part of a commission for Die Cutting Essentials magazine.

To match my card base, I have created a square aperture using Polkadoodles Posydoodles square layering dies, adding a frame using the same dies.

On the inside part of the aperture, I created a white die cut silhouette using Pretty Flower Pots border die. Next I re-cut the same die in white card, colouring with water colour pens, adding to the front of my card. Doesn't this die cut look fabulous coloured or alternatively paper pieced.

Next using Delicate Daisy Border die, I cut this twice in white card: one was coloured and one left white to act as a drop shadow. These were then added to the front of my card base covering up the lower part of  coloured die cut.

I stamped the sentiment on to the inside of the card - Sentimentals clear stamp set - and to balance the card, I added another flower using Delicate Daisy Cluster dies. These die cuts were also water coloured.

I do love the simplicity of this design and think the white drop shadow looks better than if I had cut the shadows in black card. What do you think?
