Mixed media Christmas decoration with Tonic Studios #10 magazine

The new Tonic Studios magazine, issue #10, has been released and it is jam packed full of ideas using the papers, stamps, dies & embossing folder included - 72 projects in total! My brief this time was to use the dies and stamps only to create different mixed media designs plus lashings of Nuvo products too. Boy oh boy did I have fun.

Here's one of my projects from the magazine. You can get full step by step instructions on page 60 ...

MY PROJECT
The idea in my head when I began designing this project was to make a 3D snowy decoration. To create the base scene, I have just used layers of old card eg: cereal packets, grey board, card boxes and my trusty glue gun.

Layers of expanding mousse have also been added, adding highlights with embellishment mousse. The baubles are from the Oh Christmas Tree set (included in magazine) with extra stamped detail.

Snow has been created using expanding mousse, stone drops, glazier paste and sparkle dust ... lots of sparkle dust! The felt reindeer were from my stash.
