Step by step Christmas card using the new Christmas stamp range from Polkadoodles.
On Monday, in 2pm show, Polkadoodles launched a new collection of Christmas stamps on Hochanda. Six new sets in total: Smiley Snowman, Jingle Bells, Deck the Halls, Curly Christmas, Ho Ho Holly & Perfect Poinsettias. These are traditional Christmas images, with a Nikky twist plus a dash of modern. All designs are available in the Polkadoodles shop → HERE
On the show, I made 2 different styles of card. Here's one of the cards I made ...
YOUTUBE VIDEO
Below I have placed the YouTube video of the show. Wind forward to 7:02:00 to catch the whole show and see the demo's "in real time".
MY PROJECT
I decide to create a quick and easy background - using Jingle Bells clear stamps - placing the designs in order that they appeared within the circle aperture. I also stamped the holly leaves on to separate card & water coloured - from Ho Ho Holly clear stamps.
Next I die cut the Ice Skates, paper piecing on to silver mirri card but water colouring the boots. Once dry, I threaded these the circular frame, sticking everything in to place.
I added the holly leaves to finish the Christmas theme & stamped my sentiments. The "Christmas" is from the Smiley Snowman stamp set & "Wishes" from Super Sentiment clear stamps.
QUESTION TIME: Can you see what other extra bits I have added to my card from the show?
JINGLE BELL JOY STAMP COLLECTION
Although there were 6 new sets of clear stamps released, they have been split in to 2 collections. The Jingle Bell Joy collection features: Smiley Snowman, Jingle Bells, Curly Christmas & Deck the Halls.
HO HO HOLLY CHRISTMAS STAMP COLLECTION
This is the second collection of new stamps "Ho Ho Holly Collection" featuring: Ho Ho Holly & Perfect Poinsettias.
BOCKINGFORD PAPER ... which is really card!
Nikky has released a pack of papers that she recommends to help with your colouring and inky projects. The card is super smooth as it is hot pressed, A4 in size & 300 gsm. It was or should I say it is, a complete dream to work with.
Even though I have been busy making Christmas cards, none are actually for me. Most have been made either for shows or prep! I best get making as Christmas is fast approaching. Have you made all your Christmas cards yet? If so, what's your secret for keeping on top of everything?
