Stencils as the focal point - Happy New Year card.

Happy New Year everyone. Wow a new decade begins! Just typing that makes everything seem magical, new & possible. Here's to 2020! Normally, I am not a New Year's Resolution type of person but this year, I think I might persuade myself to make one or two. I was bought a wonderful new planner for Christmas, which I can customise, which means one of my goals this year will be organisation. More proactive rather than reactive ...!

On my blog today is a New Year's card welcoming in 2020. Not everyone celebrates Christmas but a New Years card is the perfect way to leave the old year behind and welcome in the new.

MY CARD
I have used the Number Collage stencil from Polkadoodles to create my background, using Izink Ink pads and finger daubers. Using a regular pencil

To add a bit of New Year sparkle, I have used the "Celebrate" die from Polkadoodles with Craft Perfect Gold Dust glitter card. Adore, adore, adore this die because of it's versatility. I find myself grabbing this for lots of my projects as can be used for a multitude of occasions. I decided to

As a finishing touch, I have used another under used stamp set from Polkadoodles - Celebrations. It really is a versatile set, especially the sentiments. All the products I have used are listed below.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
Have you gone down the resolutions route? Would love to know yours and why you chose them. Yes, being a wee bit nosey but for me it's more about getting to know you & what is important to you.

Right gotta dash. Car problems to fix before next Wednesday when I'm back at HOCHANDA for my first shows of 2020.

Take care & happy crafting,

Lou

I love your fun, sparkly new years card Louise, it's absolutely beautiful. My new years resolution is to use every stamp set I own at least once this year - maybe that's a bit ambitious but I'll try at least :D thank you for playing along on the Papercraft-Challenges blog. Lisa xx
