Bright & Breezy clear stamps from Polkadoodles coloured with Sakura Koi brush pens

Oh my what a fabulous but tiring couple of days I have had in Hochanda. On Sunday, I proudly show cased the wonderful new stamp collection from Polkadoodles called "Bright & Breezy". It is a collection of 3 stamps: Forest Floor, Reach for the Sky & Perfectly Poised. They are wonderful designs which cross over to many areas of "crafting": card making, journaling, mixed media to name but a few. A huge, huge thank you to everyone who tuned in & supported the show.

Here are a few of my samples made using the Bright & Breezy clear stamps. The majority of my cards have been coloured with Sakura Koi brish pens  ...

CARD IDEAS

I'm a lucky so & so & get to play with all the sets at the same time & because of this, I do use the different clear stamp elements/collections with each other. However, they can be used to create stand alone designs too.

Reach for the Sky stamps

For this card, I began by creating my background first: a stencilled background (Snowballs/Snowy/bubbles/dots stencil) & then added my sentiment to the background, using my distress oxides. Sentiment was created using Super Sentiments & Everlasting Sentiments clear stamps.

Next, I layered the stamped images up & coloured with Sakura Koi Brush Pens. I stamped another image, (colouring the same way), & added this to the bottom to hide my stamping. My floral bouquet has been finished with a ribbon bow.

Forest Floor Stamps

This card was all about creating a simple background using "Great outdoors" stencil with Distress Oxide inks. Next I embossed a frame directly in to the card front using Polkadoodles Squarey Swirly Frame dies.

I stamped up all my images & layered them around 2 square panels. On these panels, I stamped my sentiment. I added a few extra butterflies to complete the design. Again all images were coloured with Sakura Koi Brush Pens.

Using smaller stamps to be a focal point

For this card, I have taken 2 smaller stamps only to create both my background & also my feature elements.

They have been coloured with Sakura Koi Brush Pens. Using the same colours, I created a coloured strip down my card to bring the design together.

JOURNALING

As I mentioned before, these designs work perfectly in your journals. I've taken a range of different stamps from the Bright & Breezyclear stamp collection, stamped in Hero Arts Unicorn white ink, adding to my Sakura Sketch book.

They then have been coloured with Sakura Moonlight Gelly Roll pens. This is still a "work in progress" page & I will post/share once finished. When that will be, I can't really say. With my journal pages, I do flit from one to another ...!

Nikky has the "Bright & Breezy" clear stamp collection on offer at the moment - £14.99 for all three stamp sets instead of £23.97! Check them out in the store HERE or click on photo above.

SENTIMENT STAMPS

Honestly, hand on heart, I adore, adore, adore the latest sentiment stamp designs Nikky has brought out. So far there are 2 clear stamp sets in the collection but all I can say is ... watch this space! These clear stamp sets allow you to create the sentiment you want, in the design/layout you want & mix/match together perfectly.

Super Sentiments - 49 stamps                   Everlasting Sentiments - 60 stamps
Suoer Sentiments clear stamps             Everlasting Sentiments clear stamps

Just to explain a wee bit more how they can work together. On my cards above, I created my own bespoke sentiments combining the sets -

"Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, you are my rock, today, tomorrow always"

" Happy everything day to a fabulous friend"

Incredible amazing you"

"You are my perfect friend"

CRAFT ROOM ORGANISATION

My say a HUGE thank you to everyone who commented on a recent Facebook post where I asked for craft room organisation tips. It was extremely helpful especially seeing all the different ways you organised your crafty stash. After a few purchases on Amazon, I am now ready to tackle my area ... might need a few more supplies but at least I am making a start.

Going to begin by tackling one cupboard at a time & actually being ruthless with my supplies. If I haven't touched it for 6 months or more, going to either sell it on or give it away.

Now as I've said it, plus put it in to writing, I bet roll up my sleeves, big girls knickers pulled up and tackle the re-organisation task.

See you all soon,

Lou
