My Memory Book die sets - Spring Garden & Our Story NEW from Tonic Studios - beginners album

Hello everyone. I'm back again sharing another album with you all using the NEW My memory Book die sets - Spring Garden & Our Story. Yesterdays album was a "throw everything at it" kind of album but today I wanted to share a way to use these dies only. In essence, a beginners album which only needs 5 outside pages & 3 of the half cut pages ...

More photos and a link to a YouTube video can be found below ...

In this video, I share how to use just te dies from the new release to create an album. No other die sets are needed.

The video for the other album I created is below. I also share a "close up" of the dies too.

MY PROJECT

I had two main goals for this album

1] to create an album for a beginner starting on their memory book journey using dies
2] to only use the NEW die sets released.

I have kept all the layering simple and created my spine using the half cut die element.

All my pages have the same layout throughout the book and create interactive pockets.

On the inside cover, I have created a half pocket, to house mini books, tags etc. The ones I have created were using up scraps of card & designer papers I had "around".

The first page, is where I have used the "half cut" die to create my spine, attaching a page to the back. In my video I show how I have created these elements.

All the remaining pages in my book are of an indentical layout.

NEW TO MEMORY BOOK DIES

Tonic Studios now have 13 die sets that form part of the Memory Book Range. Each working together or independently. Here are some tips to using dies to create memory books ...

1] Watch & learn from all the great videos out there. Tonic Studios YouTube channel is a great place to start - https://www.youtube.com/user/tonicstudios

2] Although inspired by others, begin by making a basic album from scrap card. Note down in this book where mistakes happened, what you would do next, best adhesives etc etc. Keep it as a "go to" resource.

3] Do not be afraid to ask questions about anything and everything.

4] Plan & sketch out layouts for your pages. This will save frustration & wasted paper later on. Again it is another resource you have created to refer back to in future projects.

5] Find a way that works for YOU. We all craft in different ways.

MEMORY BOOK 1

These 2 new sets work perfectly with Memory Book 1 dies - Base Creator & Layering Cascade. You can now mix & match the detail dies with your existing memory book dies. This set is a perfect "add on" but as mentioned earlier, will work perfectly as a stand alone die set(s).

Tonic have given me a 10& discount to share with you all to use in the Tonic Studio shop(s). Discount will apply at checkout. The only thing the discount will not work against is Craft Kits.

Many, many thanks for popping over today. I really do appreciate your visits. If you have any questions, pop them below or contact me via a range of social media outlets. Details are in my "About Me" page.

See you again soon,

Lou
