April inspiration: bullet journaling with Sakura Moonlight Gelly Roll pens in my Sakura black sketch/note book

Even though times are a little strange at the moment, one thing I have been trying to do is stick to as many of my normal routines as possible. One thing I do the last week of every month is start planning for the following month. I love to create bullet journal pages as I find it makes organising myself a lot easier. Main reason: because I choose the layout, I remember my tasks, events etc.

April's bullet journal has been inspired by the wonderful song/poem "Little April Shower" ...

... AND as a complete "NEW" for me, I have completed the pages in my Sakura black Sketch/Note book.

APRIL MONTHLY PAGE

As mentioned, I have used the song/poem "Little April Shower" as my inspiration for the monthly overview design. Using Polkadoodles Great Outdoors stencil, I created my design with Sakura bright white gelly roll pens in 05 (fine 0.3mm) & 10 (bold 0.5mm).

I'm using my Sakura Sketch/note book with black pages (21cm x 13cm) which is a NEW for me as I normally bullet journal in my other Sakura sketch/note book which has light cream coloured pages.

After finishing my design, the fun part begins, colouring. Grabbing my Sakura Moonlight (fluorescent) pens, I began adding extra detail & much needed colour. I think I might have gone a wee bit over board. The benefit of making your own monthly bullet, is that it is meant to work for you, so you add as much or as little as you want.

APRIL - WEEKLY INSPIRATION

After completing my monthly overview, I begin my weekly overviews. This is where I can "hone down" the tasks, events, reminders, schedules I want for that week.

I'm still sticking to the same theme "Little April Shower" and using a MamaMakes "Boxes & Days" stencil, I have created my daily task areas.

I'm also still using the Polkadoodles Great Outdoors stencil for my decoration but have also added my own doodling too.

This week is not quite finished yet as I'm in my famous "faffing" stage but not far off.
