Doodling on black paper with Polkadoodles Stencils & Sakura White Gelly Roll pen
Now I draw around stencils all the time in my art journals to add little bits of extra detail. This time I thought it would be cool just to use my Polkadoodles 6" x 6" creative mixed media stencils to make a complete page. Okay, I have drawn around a few stamping blocks to make the squares but everything else is from the stencils ...
After finishing my page I thought it lacked something and needed just a little colour. Using a Quickie Glue Pen, I drew around some of the different stencil elements from all the stencils & once the glue was tacky added some Nuvo Copper & Gold gilding flakes. For me, it was the perfect tectuxe to add. Finally I finished by adding my sentiment & 2 stickers I found in my stash.
I'm actually quite chuffed as to how this turned out and although not my own doodles, the stencils still allowed me to doodle the different elements where I wanted them.

LET NOTHING DIM THE LIGHT
I've created my layout in my Sakura Sketch Notebook with black pages & I mentioned before, wanted to see if just using my Polkadoodles stencils, I could create a art journal page(s). I began with the beautiful Creative Angel stencil & drew her out with a white gel pen. Using the wings on the stencil, I created her hair. Whilst the white ink from Sakura Gelly Roll pen was still wet, using a paint brush & water, I blended the ink out to create a ghosting effect.
I then decided to doodle a few square boxes on the pages using my stamping blocks & to ground them, I used the Timeless Butterfly 6" x 6" stencil; again with a white pen. I've coloured some of the butterflies but also left some plain. Using the Creative Angel stencil i then pooped in some wee hearts too.
