Fun, characterful cards with Tonic Studios Wilderness die set collection

Hello everyone. Hope you are safe & well?

Today on my blog I m sharing a selection of cards using the wonderful Wilderness die set collection from Tonic Studios. I really, really, really loved playing with this die set so much so, I sent my prep in to Tonic & proceed to make the same cards again  just for me.

HUGS & KISSES

For this card I have mainly used elements from the Wilderness Adventure Garden Picnic set as that rabbit image is just sooooooo very cute.

In the collection you get a bar die - for want of abetter description - which allows you to layer all your elements up but your card still folds flat ready for your envelope. How ingenious is that?

For this card, I have used lots of the smaller elements to create my scene. cut on white card and coloured with my Nuvo Aqua Flow pens.

The grass has been cut from Craft Perfect Pistachio Green & I've added a few sequins too - Nuvo Prickly Pear.

THE BEST IS YET TO COME

This card was fabulous mainly because I used up so many bits of Craft Perfect card bits I had been hoarding. I've teamed up the dies with Autumn Dream Frame dies as I thought the 2 worked together seamlessly.

This time, I have die cut lots of the elements from coloured card, layered them & added to my card base cut using the outside dies from Autumn Dream Frame. I've kept to a very autumnal colour palate but rather than having a matching red squirrel, I've gone for a traditional grey squirrel instead.

The sentiment has been placed so that I don't lose sight of the squirrel or the owl whom I have perched at the top of the card. A little bit on inking on the edges & a few white pen strokes & my card is complete.

ENJOY THE LITTLE THINGS

Now this card, I adore because after making it, I could see so many other possibilities to change this in to a card design for all seasons. I've mainly used the Wilderness Adventures Fanciful Forest collection teamed up with Wondrous Woods die collection.

I've created my card base & background layers using the Wondrous Woods dies and then added all my elements using the clever bar system. All these layers stand proud but fold flat to fit inside your card with the bonus that when the person received your card, they pop back  into place.

I've used Craft Perfect card for some parts & also cut designs from white card colouring with my Nuvo Alcohol Markers. Main reason for cutting on white card was to ensure that certain elements took "centre stage".

As I said earlier, I really enjoyed creating with this collection. I think I smiles all the way through & typing this, a huge smile is now on  my face. They are just the perfect collection to use as designed but also work with lots of other die collections from Tonic Studios. I suppose it shows their true versatility.

In Chez Sims we are starting to let the Christmas season creep in and I decided to get the outside lights out. However that was short lived as they are now in a huge mess on my craft room floor. I was trying to design a pattern with them but have ended up with this huge knot thing instead. Stepping away for now, making a coffee & will resume later today - not going to be beaten.

Take care everyone & speak soon,

Lou
