Tonic Studios Centre Piece Sentiment dies - inspiration
I'm slowly going through all my memory sticks & folders on hard drives called either "photos to edit" or "phone dump" and have been sorting them. I didn't realise how many I had & also how many projects I hadn't shared!
Today I'm sharing four projects made with the Tonic Studios Centre Piece Sentiments die sets. These are large sentiments that create a commanding statement on your cards.
THE BEST IS YET TO COME
As soon as I saw this sentiment I just knew what I wanted to do. Quickly grabbing my Tonic Studios Sammy Takes It Easy stamps & dies, (now retired), I created my background.
I die cut the sentiment 3 times from Pewter Grey Craft Perfect cardand an additional layer from black card. I layered the 3 grey layers on top of each other & used the black layer as my drop shadow. The sentiment was then placed on to vellum. As a final finishing touch, I added a layer of Nuvo Shimmer Gloss.
I then stuck the stamped, coloured & die cut images around the sentiment, using the letters as gluing points. Once dry, I added it to the centre of my card with 3D foam. All the images have been coloured with Nuvo Aqua Flow pens.
I have die cut the sentiment from Craft Perfect classic white card numerous times and over laid them on to my background. I did make sure that one of the sentiments was placed in the centre ready for my black card layer.
Using the largest heart from the Scribble Frames, (now retired) - die cut from Craft Perfect Ruby Red mirror card - I added this over the focal point. Next I cut the sentiment again from black card, layering it on top of the white layer.
For this card, I wanted to show that you don't have to use Christmas stamps at Christmas! I've used the Winter Birds A5 stamp set from Tonic Studios (again retired) & am quite chuffed with how it has turned out.
I've stamped lots of the elements, cut them out and coloured with pinks & greens. All coloured with Nuvo Creative pens & hybrid inks. A few Scribble Heart die cuts were added as a finishing touch.
Finally I die cut the main sentiment from white & black card layering on top of each other. This was then placed in to the sentiments frame layer. A few white splatters and my card was finished.
