Celebrating World Ocean Day 2021 - YouTube Hop & discount codes

 A sea related theme is my "go to" crafting wise especially if my mojo has decided to go for a short break somewhere. With today also being "World Oceans Day", I simply couldn't resist creating something with an underwater theme which could be used to highlight the importance of our worlds oceans.

  Now I'm involved with a wonderful group of creatives to celebrate Worlds Ocean Day in a YouTube hop - more details below - each of us show casing an ocean/sea themed project.

WORLD OCEANS DAY

The Ocean covers over 70% of our planet & produces at least 50% of the worlds oxygen. Our oceans help to sustain life on our planet, but now the ocean is in need of our support with fish populations being depleted and coral reefs being destroyed. World Oceans Day was set up in 1992 to help bring awareness to these issues and to help us take action to do our part regarding the health of our oceans. Today we thought we would take some time out to play with our ocean themed crafty goodies, to have fun and to bring awareness to this important issue.

How can you get involved? Pop over to the UN World Oceans Day website to learn more about our oceans & how we can care for them going forward. It's both a fascinating read but a sobering one too!

PROJECT ONE

I decided to use a mix of Polkadoodles Garden Glory & Garden Surprise to create an ubber cute sea horse - well I think he's cute. The background has been made using the stamps too with a few stencil designs added in too.

PROJECT TWO

Inspired by the wonderful puffer fish created by Marlene (Art by Marlene), I have used the stamp sets to create my own version. Again the underwater background has been created using the stamps too.
