Easy layered stamping with Ciao Bella Paper stamps

Ciao Bella paper brought out two stamp sets which were linked to their Delta Collection: Keep The Wild In You and Delta Typha. They are really beautiful stamp sets which can have a masculine or feminine feel depending on the colours you use.

Sharing two cards which use the same elements but look different because of their colours.

Keep The Wild In You

I started by making a very light background using Ciao Bella Paper stencils: Bubbles & Crocodile with faded jeans distress ink.

Using the larger dream catcher stamp from Keep The Wild In You, I added my next layer. I have used gathered twigs and faded jeans on the stamp to give a two tone effect.

Next I stamped out the large arrow and smaller feathers (from smaller dream catcher stamp) and layered them on top of each other. This was then added to the main stamped dream catcher image. The card was then finished off with the sentiment "Keep the wild in you" and a few pearls.

Love Somehow

The background to this card has been made by repeat stamping the large dream catcher image with bundled sage distress ink. Using a left over piece of backing paper from the Delta Creative A4 pad, I've made a mat layer for my sentiment.

I decided to team up the stamp images with a beautiful die set from Sweet Dixie called Dreamcatcher, I have cut the die cut from white card, cut it in half and added it behind the sentiment. Next I stamped out lots of different images from both Ciao Bella Paper stamp sets: Keep the wild in you & Delta Typha.

I used picked raspberry, salty ocean and gathered twigs distress inks. All the images were cut out and layered on top of each other. I used the shape of the die cut underneath to help with the placement.

I punched out some small hearts from any of the stamped images I did not use on my card. That way they all co-ordinated beautifully.

If you did not want to use the sentiments in the stamp sets, the sentiments could easily be swapped out for names eg: mum, dad etc and the vibe of both cards would still remain. Gosh I do hope that makes sense.
