Simple layered stamping for cards - featuring Shady Designs stamps & dies
When I designed my different stamp sets, I wanted them to be all about creating quick backgrounds. Also to give the illusion that there had been more complicated stamping involved!
Today I'm sharing an idea to create 2 cards, at the same time, following the same design.

Creating my cards
Using the This or That stamp set, I stamped the main design twice on two card panels. One panel was using frayed burlap & the other using abandoned coral oxides. Using a stamp platform, both panels are identical (ish)
TOP TIP: if you don't have a stamp platform, use your glass mat/cutting mat to line up each panel.
Next, using the quatrefoil die from Shady Designs Ticker Tape die set, I die cut in to my panels in to one corner on both card fronts.
Top Tip: To make sure that the die cut lined up on the other panel, put your card fronts on top of each other. Make sure that the one with the die cut aperture is on top. Place die in aperture and run through your machine again.
To create the cards, stick one of the panels to a card base with the die cut aperture at the top and the other, with the aperture at the bottom. Add back in the waste pieces to the gaps using the die cut as your guide.
Add 3D foam pads to the die cut quatrefoil designs and stick back in to the apertures ... HOWEVER ... make sure that they are the opposite colours!
Finally decorate with all your stamped elements and add a sentiment from the Shady Designs Clean Inkings Card & Paper Kit. I have chosen the same sentiment but in different colourways.
It really is a quick way to create 2 cards using the same design but mixing up the colours. Would love it if you gave the idea a go and please share your designs with me. Tag me on any social media platform or leave a link in the comments below.
Have a great day everyone and see you all soon,
