My project!

I bought this pretty cup a while ago in a junk shop with the intention of turning in to a piece of storage. I got as far a putting a thin coat of Gesso on it, but that was it!  I decided to upcycle the cup using plain rice paper and my Shady Designs Make A Mark stamp set.

Although I stamped images in colour and black and white, I felt more colour was needed so used a mix of Amsterdam acrylic inks and Daler Rowney acrylic inks. If I was going to do it again, I think I might just keep the design black & white for extra drama.

The cup is going to hold my new blending brushes to use with my distress inks as I have now succumbed to the blending brush "thing".

When everything was dry, I decided to outline all the images with a Sakura micron pen as felt all the colour had made everything merge together and nothing stood out. Sakura Micron pens are permanent and work on the non-porous surfaces and as they come in many different nib sizes, are perfect for outlining.
